Overview:

The “clock culture” only exists in a small sector today, usually in very large companies or bureaucracies. It is marked not as much by a strict adherence to time as by an attitude to do the absolute minimum required. The clock culture kills large enterprises and makes large bureaucracies even more unwieldy. If you succumb to the clock culture, it will harm you. You will reap no joy from your work and find little meaning or fulfillment during the large amount of time that you spend at a job each day.

While maintaining balance between work and family life, you can make a decision to swim upstream, to keep contributing and to go the extra mile. Defy the clock culture.
